The public buses in the UAE are fully air-conditioned, comfortable, and have an automatic system for the payment of the fare. They take people from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.
Bus roots and their timings
There are two routes that shuttle between the cities that are titled E100 and E101. The start point of both buses is Al wahda, Abu Dhabi central bus station. But the routes, timing, and the destinations of both coaches are different.
Best root E100 – Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station to Al Ghubaiba bus Station
The Route for this bus is from Abu Dhabi to Al Ghubaiba bus station. It takes about 2 hours to complete the Route, timing also depends upon the traffic through the passage. The schedules for the bus are following
Timings:
- Sunday to Wednesday from 4:30 am to 12:30 am (11 to 20 minutes interval)
- Friday from 5:00 am to 12:00 am ( 8 to 15-minute interval)
- Saturday from 5:00 am to 12:00 am ( 8 to 15-minute interval)
Fare:
Fare of a single ticket costs AED 25, which you can buy from the station counter, or it can be deducted from your NOL card. If you don’t have the balance in your NOL card, then you can’t recharge it from the central bus station of Abu Dhabi. This is because there are no recharge machines at the center you have to buy a ticket from the counter to board on the bus.
Bus root E101 – Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station to Ibn Battuta Metro
This is the second Route that this available from the central bus station. It starts from the Al Wahda, Abu Dhabi central bus station, and its destination is an ibn-e-battuta metro station.
The travel time of this Route for a single trip is about one and a half hours, has some tolerance because of traffic. The fare is the same as the E100 root, AED 25.
Timings:
- Sunday to Wednesday from 6:30 am to 11:30 am (20 to 30 minutes interval)
- Thursday from 06:50 am to 01:05 am ( 20 to 30-minute interval)
- Friday from 07:50 am to 01:00 am ( 25 to 60-minute interval)
- Saturday from 06:50 am to 01:03 am ( 20 to 30-minute interval)
