A global village is an event which held seasonally, including different countries to showcase their belongings, most probably in the winter season. It is an attraction for the people and they love to join this event due to the extravagant items which are available here, the people love to purchase these items.
You can imagine the popularity of this event, as over seven million people visit this event last year. Hopefully, a similar number of visitors are thought to visit this season, the 24th one, as in the previous year.
There are 26 pavilions in the event, each pavilion is allocated to a specific country, which represent the country’s handicrafts, cuisines and merchandise, all these features attract the people from many of the regions and increase its popularity.
Last year, the countries that were involved in the event to represent their assets were China, India, Egypt, Japan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Iran and UAE.
In the Global Village, there is a vast variety of events and entertainment programs. Like if I discuss the previous year event which was held in 2019/2020, includes an African Footprint which is a South African musical program, Kpop Krazy (a pop musical), Ballet Revolution (Classical and contemporary dance), and also a Bollywood icon.
The carnivals here provide the adults and the children the rides service and also gaming platforms in arcade or skill mode, both are available here, people can enjoy it as per their choice.
It is hard to believe that it is a new trend and had become more attractive among people. It is a combination of Bizarre Objects, Oddities and other memorable items from all over the globe. Also, Circus is a big part of the Global village event, in Circus or stage shows there are acrobats and other performer having expertise in stunt shows etc.
Other facilities beside the things of amusement for the people to attract towards the event are Restaurants (roundabout 20), 120 other food and beverages stores, ATM’s, Prayer’s rooms, information desks and toilets. All these are for the use of the people, to fulfil the basic requirements of the people.

The event of Global Village 2019/20 is scheduled from October 29, 2019, to April 4, 2020.
Timing:
Timing for the event is from
Saturday to Wednesday from 4 pm to midnight
Thursday & Friday 4 pm to 1 am
*Mondays are for the families and the ladies
Entry Fee:
the entry fee is charged for the event. It is about 15 AED for 2019/20 event. Calculate the ticket price in your home currency by exchanging the currency rate to get the actual price of the ticket in your currency. Entry is free for the children under 3 years, senior person and the special ones.
A family package on a discounted rate is also available for the families willing to visit the event, the price for the family package is AED 120, which includes 8 entry passes, and a wonderful pass. In Wonder pass, there are 4 tickets for the stunt shows, AED 50 credit amount for the rides at carnivals and 2 circus entries. The family pack has also a valet parking ticket.
Location :
The Global Village is situated on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Dubailand, just east of Arabian Ranches. Abundant free car parking spaces are available. Valet car parking (paid) is also offered.
How to Reach?
There is no Dubai Metro station near the Global village. However, the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) is running four bus services to Global Village:
- 102 bus service, Departs from Rashidiya Bus Station (next to Rashidiya Metro Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line and near Dubai International Airport).
- 103 bus service, Departs from Union Square Bus Station (near Union Metro Station on the Red Line and Green Line of the Dubai Metro) in Deira.
- 104 bus service, Departs from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station in Bur Dubai. Bus route goes via Al Jafiliya Metro Station (Dubai Metre Red Lirae).
- 106 bus service, Starts at the Mall of the Emirates Bus Station (next to Mall of the Emirates Metro Statior3 Dubai Metro Red Line)
Bus services run from mid-afternoon until late at night. Bus timings are scheduled in accordance with Global Village opening and closing time.
